As a child, I never had to look outside of my family for a role model(s). My grandmother, Sophie Lowman and my mother Ann Harris was always there to guide and teach me something every day.
These two women gave me strength and encouraged me well into adulthood to be all that I could be.
But, did I listen? No, not all the time. I was young and didn't understand. They would say, "You will understand everything when you're older." And oh boy, were they right! Parenting for example; I gave my children love, but I was clueless to the fact of life.
Being a young mother was hard. I had the best support team of people in my corner that refused to give up on me and would not let me give up on myself. I'm so grateful you all were in my life.
They all planted seeds of love.
