I own the bragging rights to two short stories called: Reflections of Madison and Breaking Chains, and one book of poems called: Spoken Word. "Ta -Da!" 


I am the oldest daughter to Carl & Ann Harris, the sister to three beautiful sister's, and one brother, the wife to Darien Brown for 22 years, the mother of four wonderful children, and the grandmother to eight awesome little people.  


My motto is: "ALWAYS FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS."


God's seed of "LOVE" was planted in me and I have planted that seed in my seeds.  #familyiseverything #familyfirst #familymatters


Love God, love yourself, and love others. This is the key to real humility. To just love thy neighbor as self and to put God above all, and make Him your focus... You cannot go wrong. When you know better; you want better, and you'll start to do better, and better is knowing GOD on a personal level. A Struggling Author

This book (GATEWAYS PAST) has been finished for two years, and I haven't published it yet. I am prayerfully hoping to have it published this year.  I am currently writing my fifth book "Meager Means."  I am also writing a second book of poetry at this time.  I have also partnered with another author and screenplay writer to help write a screenplay to my first book (Reflections).  So, look for that as well.

My strength is in JESUS CHRIST my LORD and SAVIOUR.

Be extra careful when sharing your personal trials and tribulations with others, make no mistake about it... The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy you by any means necessary.  I am not ashamed of my testimony and in it is my strength to encourage others with it,  and by continuously lifting up the name of Jesus and giving Him all the glory and honor He is do.  I know where He has brought me from,  and I know my strength is in Him.  You cannot beat me up with my past... Because I have deliverance... Yes, I am free from it.  But if you are wavering or doubting that you have such strength... Be careful, be very careful. You are what you believe you are and you can do what you believe you can do.  And His word tells you plainly: I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me.  I TRULY BELIEVE THAT. And in every area of my life I apply His Word. I tread lightly and I know now how to be still and wait on The Lord. I pray all day, every day, because I know I need Him for everything.  Believe you me... The enemy knows who Gods children are, and he will send his workers of iniquity to tempt you... Grow in faith and become stronger with His God given strength so you can defend yourself from the enemy that will surely come. Please read His word. Dawn

As people pass by us,
Some of us hide behind the Cross.
Not wanting them near us,
That's the unsaved and the lost.
Unchurched and back slidden,
Also those can stay away.
We don't want to hang with them,
Best if they keep going astray.

We seem to forget, who and where we were, now not giving others a chance.
Even though we walk, a different path you see, choosing not to remember, our old world's romance.

We seem to forget, the life we lived before, looking down on everyone, that reflects our past the more. 

We seem to forget, the saints who were at our side, the more we fell down, the harder they tried.

We seem to forget, how He kept us in His Hand, and as people cry for help, we refuse to understand. 

We seem to forget, when He held us in His Arms, no matter what life through our way, it caused us no harm.

We must remember, we were there just yesterday and instead of being a stumbling block, let's help them along the way.

We've got to remember, we have faults, and still we fail and just like the ones we ostracize, only in God will we all prevail.

[1] Fourscore and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.

[2] Now we are engaged in a great civil war, testing whether that nation, or any nation so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that war. We have come to dedicate a portion of that field, as a final resting place for those who here gave their lives that that nation might live. It is altogether fitting and proper that we should do this.
